Discover the Legacy of Allen County Public Library
Ask A Librarian

Since its establishment in 1895, the Allen County Public Library has been a cornerstone of knowledge and exploration for our community. Today, it encompasses the Main Library in downtown Fort Wayne and thirteen satellite locations serving both urban and rural areas.
The library's Genealogy Center stands as the nation's premier public research facility for family history, offering extensive physical and digital archives alongside expert guidance from knowledgeable staff.
In partnership with the Friends of the Lincoln Collection, the newly constructed Rolland Center preserves and presents the vast historical legacy of Abraham Lincoln through original documents, photographs, and multimedia resources.
Annually, ACPL welcomes millions of visitors while circulating over 3.9 million items, with more than half of Allen County residents maintaining active library memberships.
