Book Bowl: The Ultimate Literary Challenge!

Assemble your literary squad and vie for glory in the Book Bowl 2026 championship!

Get ready—this classic book-themed quiz show returns stronger than ever! Rally your fellow bibliophiles to join forces in Book Bowl 2026. Teams will tackle a range of literature-inspired questions to crown the ultimate champions.

Each squad can include up to six participants, with a designated team leader required for entry. A unique team moniker is mandatory upon signup, along with full participant details. Only twelve teams may compete directly, with four extra spots available via waitlist if a team cannot attend. Should your squad be called up from the waitlist, an ACPL representative will reach out to verify participation.

COMPETITION GUIDELINES:

Maximum roster size: Six members (minimum three).

Every opportunity counts—diverse backgrounds, ages, and reading preferences enhance your team’s prospects.

Team leaders must be at least eighteen years old.

Leaders serve as primary contacts and will receive official confirmation prior to April 12 regarding team approval.

Invent a memorable team name.

What legacy will your group leave behind? Creativity is key—these names are legendary! Submit your chosen title when registering your team. Previous winners include the Loggercats and the Maybe Masterminds, among others.

ACPL staff are prohibited from competing.

To maintain fairness, library employees cannot join teams. We appreciate your understanding.

Electronic devices are banned.

During Round 1 and Round 2, all mobile phones must be stored away and silenced until check-in or game intermission.

Strictly no cheating.

Violations lead to immediate elimination and public disclosure of misconduct.

The highest-scoring team claims victory.

Only one team will ascend as Book Bowl champions—but every participant shares in the triumph of literature.
