All food is non-perishable and ready to eat. Food provided by Blessings in a Backpack is free for youth ages 18 and under.
Blessings in a Backpack is a non-profit organization that provides bags of ready-to-eat food on the weekends for school-aged children across America who might otherwise go hungry. Blessings in a Backpack provides services for over 130,000 children in Allen County on an annual basis.
The Blessings in a Backpack initiative is made possible through the support of Brotherhood Mutual, Cathy Fitzgerald Trust, Lippert, and Surack Family Foundation. The 2026 Summer Learning Program is made possible through the generous support of Foellinger Foundation, the Friends of the Allen County Public Library, and the Allen County Public Library Foundation.
